TitleA Web Cache On A Fast Network
AuthorsJan Haluza, Ivan Dolezal
CategoryIT and Computing
AbstractWWW caches are set up inparticular to increase WWW throughput and to decrease webpage access time(the time between creation of a request and its satisfaction). An improvement of networktransfer rates, as well as fast connectivity of terminals (users’ computers),could, however, bring increasingly embarrassing questions to an administrator, such as "Is the WWW proxy cache still an asset? What is raison d’etre forits deployment in a situation when there is a sufficient bandwidth bothin LAN/MAN and for internationalbackbone connectivity?"

TitleAbout Structural Organization of Membranes in UV-resistant and UV-sensitive "Salmonella derby" Cell…..
AuthorsAstghik Z. Pepoyan
CategoryChemistry
AbstractThe goal of this work was the investigation of correlation between some peculiarities of membrane phospholipids' structure and the UV-sensitivity of plasmid - carryingand plasmid-free Salmonella derby bacterial cells. Phospholipids and their fatty acids were determined by the method described in the work of Pepoyan at all (1993) and dynamics of free radical processes studied as described by Pepoyan at all (1991).The effect of R-plasmid on the qualitative and quantitative composition of phospholipids and their fatty acids has been found. It has been shown that the comparative UV-sensitivity of plasmid - carrying S.derby mutants is most likely conditioned by the structure of DNA, its GC-pair content and by level of DNA methylation. The result permits a conclusion that it isn't exclusive the decisive role of phospholipid molecules and its interaction with DNA in formation of the UV-resistance of plasmid-free S.derby cells.

TitleInformational optimality of decimal numeration system
AuthorsDavid Kisets
CategoryMathematics
AbstractThe paper discusses the information approach to the investigation of numeration systems aimed at recognizing the degree of their informational optimality. The method of investigation is based on the Benford’s Law and the principle of information cyclicity. The discovery of the unique optimality of commonly used decimal system is the end result of the investigation. Along with theoretical significance this is of practical use in applied metrology.

TitleStrategies for seeking of information on the WWW
AuthorsMargarita Dakova
CategoryIT and Computing
AbstractThis paper investigates a few strategies for seeking information on the WWW. The strategies are: Seeking information with thematic directories like Yahoo, Dmoz, Loosmart; use Search Engines like Google, AllTheWeb, AltaVista, etc., the using meta- Search Engines – Metacrawler, One2Seek, Mamma, etc., the using a few techniques for a limitation or a expansion of results ; for using URLs, portals ,etc.

TitleThe Optimization Technique in Exchange Mathematical Model with Quasi-concave Utility Functions
AuthorsZdravko Dimitrov Slavov
CategoryMathematics
AbstractIn the presented paper, we study the concept of the Pareto optimality allocations in mathematical model of finite pure exchange economy with perfectly divisible goods and quasiconcave utility functions of the economic agents. We consider three cases of Pareto criterion – weak optimality, strong optimality and full optimality. The examining theorems are based only on the utility of the exchange goods and the quasi-concave utility functions of the economic agents.

TitleTIME VS ENERGY
AuthorsAbhijit Patil
CategoryPhysics, Astronomy
AbstractPhysics says that information regarding flow of water travel in water through "pressure waves" with speed equal to speed of sound in water. This Article aims to prove that this is not true.
