| Title | An efficient dynamic multicast agent approach for mobile IPv6 multicast |
| Authors | Hong-Ke Zhang, Bing-Yi Zhang, Bo Shen |
| Category | IT and Computing |
| Abstract | For providing multicast serve in mobility IPv6 network, two approachs have been proposed by IETF, i.e.MIP-BT (mobile IP-bi-direction tunnel) and MIP-RS (mobile IP-remote subscription). But there are some disadvange about them. The approach of MIP-BT has the problem of triangle route and tunnels congregation. The approach of MIP-RS has the problem of much handover latency and handover cost. The other present approachs are also cannot solve above problems effectively. So a novel approach named DMA (dyniamic multicast agent) is proposed in this paper. This approach integrats the merit of MIP-BT and MIP-RS and conquer their disadvange. It can reduce the times of multicast tree restructuring and allow MNs optimize multicase routes simultaneously through selectiong a new multicast agent dynamically. In addition, in this approach MN is left out of the most management and the load in MN is low. MN in the same subnet may select different DMA and the load in each DMA is lightened. The details is described in this paper including the throughness flow chart, the operation of MSA (multicast subnet agent), dynamic multicast agent selection and etc.. The simulation in NS is completed as well. The results in simulation denote that DMA approach can effectively avoid frequent modification multicast tree and the multicast packages can be forwarded through sub-optimal path. The DMA approach can improve the network performance effectively and adapt to the mobile IPv6 multicast. |

| Authors | Ila.Vennila, S.Jayaraman, R.Ravi kumar |
| Category | IT and Computing |
| Abstract | Filter bank has applications in areas like audio and video coding, data communications, etc.; the improvement of Filter bank will have important impacts in these areas. Compact energy filters are efficient. So the design problem of optimum filter bank is considered as the one having minimum energy. Considering the overall performance, the perfect reconstruction condition and regularity criteria are taken into account. The optimization problem is formulated as single objective problem (i.e.) minimization of energy with constraints on regularity criteria and perfect reconstruction conditions. Genetic Algorithm is applied to yield the solution for a two channel QMF FIR filter bank. The performance of the designed filter bank is compared with that of the filter bank obtained by Parks-McClellan (Remez) algorithm. |

| Abstract | Transient Visual Evoked Potential (TVEP) is an important diagnostic test for specific ophthalmologic and neurological disorders. Normally the procedure time to perform TVEP takes about 30 to 60 minutes. In order to reduce the procedure time, we use to go for higher rate to stimulation. In this paper we present the comparative study on effect of rate of stimulation on TVEP using Magnitude and Phase spectral analysis. It has been shown that both the measures having the positive correlation with the rate of stimulation |

| Title | Electromagnetic interaction of gravity. Proposal for unified field theory |
| Authors | Nikos Alexandris |
| Category | Physics, Astronomy |
| Abstract | From this theory arises an equation connects Planck’s constant (h), the speed of light (c), the constant of gravity (G), the constant of electricity and Boltzmann’s constant (kbl). The important aspect in this equation is that it arrives at a function with a geometrical content in 10 dimensions of space: forces are added logarithmically. From the following proposals of the theory, we obtain applications with temperatures comparable to the GUT and masses like the Planck mass and the inclusion of the Avogadro number and mass of proton |

| Title | FOUR WAVE MIXING ON DENSE WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING OPTICAL SYSTEMS – A STUDY |
| Authors | A.V.Ramprasad & M.Meenakshi |
| Category | Electronics, Electrotechnics |
| Abstract | Increase in the data rate of fiber optic communication system is limited due to the nonlinear effects like Self phase modulation (SPM) Cross phase modulation (CPM) Four wave mixing ( FWM ) Stimulated Raman Scattering(SRS) and Stimulated Brillion scattering (SBS). Many investigations are carried to mitigate these effects and in a Light wave Multiplexed systems the dominating effect is Four wave mixing(FWM). In multi-channel systems, four-wave mixing (FWM) in optical fibers [l] induces channel crosstalk and possibly degrades system performance. When signal wavelengths are positioned around the zero-dispersion wavelength of the transmission fibers, the phase-matching condition is nearly satisfied and the FWM light is efficiently generated. Especially in multi-repeater systems using optical in-line amplifiers, the generated power of FWM light is accumulated during the signal transmission [2].In this paper an analytical model has been developed and Four wave mixing power has been derived in the first part of this paper. Using this expression probability function of FWM noise is simulated and the performance of the crosstalk and channel spacing is plotted. |

| Title | Genetic Algorithm Based Location of Optic Disc in Retinal Images |
| Authors | D.Abraham Chandy, V.Vijaya Kumari |
| Category | IT and Computing |
| Abstract | This paper presents a gradient-based genetic algorithm for automatic location of optic disc in retinal images. The location of the optic disc is of critical importance in retinal image analysis and is required as a prerequisite stage of exudates detection, blood vessel tracking and segmentation. In the preprocessing stage, pixels with the highest 2% gray levels, simple clustering mechanism and optic disc diameter are considered to determine the candidate region and optic disc center. Genetic algorithm explores the combinatory space of possible contours (solutions) by means of crossover and mutation, followed by the evaluation of fitness and the selection of a new set of contours. The cumulative local gradient is used as a fitness function to find the fittest contour. The algorithm has been tested and the results indicate that this technique can automatically provide more acceptable location of the optic disc. |

| Abstract | The foundations, development, and analysis of an approximate spatial mathematical model of different species of atoms
and Mendeleev’s law of periodicity are presented. The three- and two-dimensional mathematical images of basic chemical
notions such as chemical element, group and period in the Periodic System, and others, are determined. The statics of the
different species of atoms is axiomatized by formulating a set of definitions, axioms, theorem, lemma, corollaries and
properties. A basic mathematical formalism for geometrization of the statics of simple chemical objects and a method for
construction of spatial mathematical models of some basic chemical notions and relations are proposed and demonstrated
for the approximate model. |

| Title | IDENTIFICATION OF INTERMEDIATE LATENCIES IN TRANSIENT VISUAL EVOKED POTENTIALS |
| Authors | Dr.R.Sivakumar M.E., Dr.G.Ravindran M.E., |
| Category | Electronics, Electrotechnics |
| Abstract | Transient Visual Evoked Potential (TVEP) is an important diagnostic test for specific ophthalmological and neurological disorders. The precision of clinical interpretation depends on the amount of information available. A more detailed study on spectral components of intermediate latency waveforms has been carried out. The method proposed in this paper is based on the magnitude difference between the dominant spectral components and adjust spectral component value that is very close to the dominant spectral component. The correlation between the magnitudes difference and the corresponding intermediate latency has been identified. The advantage of this method is that one can directly identify the latency more precisely than the time domain averaging method. |

| Title | Influence of Thermal Annealing on the Optical Properties of Tin Oxide Thin Films Prepared by Chemical Bath Deposition Technique |
| Authors | D. D. O. Eya, A. J. Ekpunobi and C. E. Okeke |
| Category | Physics, Astronomy |
| Abstract | Tin oxide thin films have been prepared by chemical bath deposition technique on glass substrates using SnCl2 and NaOH solution with triethanolamine (TEA) as the complexing agent. The films were subjected to post deposition annealing under various temperatures, 373, 423, 453 and 523 K. The thermal treatment streamlined the properties of the oxide films. The films are transparent in the entire regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, firmly adhered to the substrate and resistant to chemicals. The transmittance is between 57% and 95% while the reflectance is between 4% and 19%. The band gaps obtained under various thermal treatments are between 2.70eV and 3.0eV. The refractive index is between 1.52 and 2.55. The thickness achieved is in the range of 0.010-0.148mm.
These properties of the oxide film make it suitable for application in solar cell fabrication, gas sensor devices, transparent electrodes for panel displays, etc. |

| Title | LITERATURE SURVEY OF ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL
SYSTEMS |
| Authors | S.MANIKANDAN |
| Category | Electronics, Electrotechnics |
| Abstract | This paper will discuss various method of noise reduction for wireless
communication network. Noise is an, unwanted and inevitable interference, in any form of communication. It is non-informative and plays the role of sucking the intelligence of the original signal. Any kind of processing of the signal contributes to the noise addition. A signal traveling through the channel also gathers lots of noise. It degrades the quality of the information
signal. The effect of noise could be reduced only at the cost of the bandwidth of the channel, which is again undesired, as bandwidth is a precious resource. Hence to regenerate original signal, it is tried to reduce the power of the noise signal, or in the other way, raise the power level of the informative signal, at the receiver end this leads to improvement in the signal to noise ratio (SNR). |

| Title | Performance analysis of adhoc network routing protocols |
| Authors | P. Chenna Reddy, Dr. P. Chandrasekhar Reddy |
| Category | IT and Computing |
| Abstract | Routing in adhoc networks is nontrivial due to highly dynamic environment. In recent years several routing protocols targeted at mobile adhoc networks are being proposed and prominent among them are DSDV, AODV, TORA, and DSR. This paper does the comprehensive analysis of routing protocols using ns2 simulator. All protocols are provided with identical traffic load and mobility patterns. We have considered TCP as transport protocol and FTP as traffic generator. Results indicate that the performance of proactive routing protocol DSDV is far better than remaining protocols for TCP based traffic. DSR which uses source routing is the best among reactive routing protocols. The analysis is significant because we considered all the metrics as suggested by RFC 2501 and till to-date there are a few comparisons based on TCP. |

| Title | Study of Long-wave Downward Irradiance at Cairo, Egypt |
| Authors | S. Abdelaty |
| Category | Physics, Astronomy |
| Abstract | Measurements of daily and monthly values of incoming Infrared radiation (I.R.) were carried out at Cairo location (Lat. 30" N, Long. 31 °E) for three years period (1998 - 2000). The Egyptian Meteorological Authority also measured hourly data for complete one year through this interval using Epply pyrgeometer. Global and diffuse solar radiation was recorded for the same period at the same site using Epply pyranometer. All the meteorological data of the site are collected for the same period. These data were treated using an advanced computer program to obtain the numerical values of the regression and the correlation coefficients between the incoming long wave radiation and the other meteorological data. The ratio of the infrared to the global solar radiation (I.R./G) ranged between (4.4) in winter to (2.7) in summer. The ratio of diffuse to global radiation (D / G diffuse fraction) ranged between (0.46) in winter to (0.33) in summer. |
